Lee Thomas is an avid cigar aficionado who started his love affair with the industry in the early 90's.  One day after listening to popular talk radio host and cigar enthusiast Rush Limbaugh,  Lee decided to investigate whether or not there was a shortage of wrapper leaf tobacco used in the production of a particular double corona.  Shortly after the start of the endeavor, Lee received his first copy of Cigar Aficionado Magazine from a neighbor, which just happened to have a 4 page story on the growth of wrapper leaf.

The information contained in the story imparted immediate understanding and credibility as to why the shortage had not been artificially generated. Now fueled by the quest for greater knowledge of the industry, Lee delved into a myriad of books and printed information surrounding the trade and of course took the opportunity to light up just about anything that resembled a premium cigar.  

During the early days of studying cigar related material, Lee was completely won over by the beauty, design and content of Cigar Aficionado Magazine which should be the Holy Grail of informatioon and culture for any enthusiast!  Lee was also influenced by many public icons like Gretzky, Devito, Pearlman, Kennedy, Cosby, Arnold and others that all seemed to have a love affair for a good stogie.  By this time the general consensus in Lee's mind was "This is an amazing industry filled with beauty,  art, culture, history, expertise, fun and tradition, so why not be part of it and  help spread the word".  That's when he decided to launch his own internet cigar site called DXR Cigar.com.  Though no longer involved in the  retail aspect of the hobby, Lee is even more enthused and honored to reach a worldwide audience via "cigar Talk".
 

Outside the cigar lounge Lee is a nationally published freelance writer, photographer and on camera personality.  Don't be surprised to see Lee involved in anything from a celebrity red carpet event, fine art gallery show, fashion shoot or a nationally televised motor sports race.  One thing for sure on behalf of enthusiast everywhere, Lee will probably be waving the premium cigar banner high!
